Hello couple!
I'm back to give you some tips and make sure you get those perfect photos you have in mind.

It's normal for some details to slip through the cracks in the middle of the preparations, but those little touches are what really make everything even more special. And that's what I'm here for, to guide you and help you make sure everything turns out just the way you imagined.

THE PREPARATIONS

The wedding day

I recommend that you prepare the entire space in a tidy and clean manner. Sometimes, small details such as a tidy room can make a big difference in the photos. Also, if you can, choose a place with neutral colours and avoid overly flashy prints. The most important thing is you, not the duvet cover.

A key aspect is lighting. Ideally, you should have natural light, so a place with large windows or an open space is perfect. If this is not possible, make sure it is well lit. This will make all the difference when it comes to capturing the best moments of that day.

If you can, I recommend choosing a hotel room or an Airbnb that offers plenty of natural light and space. Also, think about the comfort of your guests and family: everything counts to create a relaxed and fluid atmosphere.

Consider travel. If you're at a venue with multiple spaces, take advantage of those beautiful spots for photos. If not, make sure the location of your preparations isn't too far from the ceremony or banquet.

If your home doesn't meet these conditions, don't hesitate to book a hotel room or an Airbnb. In the end, it will save you stress and guarantee much more natural and beautiful photos.

I assure you that you will appreciate it, and the photos too!

Remember that when I arrive you must already have your makeup and hair done.

Remember that when the party arrives, you should already have your hair and makeup done. The same goes for any family members you want to be present during the preparations.

While you are being made up, I usually capture photos and video, so it is important to think about what you will wear at the moment. For him, I recommend comfortable and casual clothing. For her, a robe or light garment in the color that best suits you will be ideal. This will make you feel comfortable and you will also look great in the photos.

FIRST LOOK

If you have decided to do a First Look or a First Touch, it is an incredibly special moment that deserves to be enjoyed to the fullest. My advice is to have a speaker ready with your favourite music to create a unique and emotional atmosphere. Music can make the moment even more memorable.

It is also important that you think of some words that you want to say to your partner in that intimate moment. Sometimes, emotions can make us forget, but a few sincere words will make the difference and help you capture the essence of the moment.

Remember that this is a unique and special moment that will not be repeated, so enjoy it to the fullest. Being calm and present will allow you to have much more natural and emotional photos.

As for the location, find a quiet and idyllic spot. Whether it's a garden, a corner with good light or a place with some meaning for you, it will ensure that the photos have the touch you've always imagined.

It is also important to plan the space well. Choose a secluded spot where there are not too many people around, so that you can experience this moment in total privacy and calm.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony is one of the most important moments of the day, and the light plays a crucial role in how those photos will turn out. Whether indoors or outdoors, the location and angle are key to getting amazing images.

If the wedding is in the summer and the ceremony will be outdoors, especially around midday, make sure that the sun doesn't bother you. Positioning yourselves so that you and your guests have shade is essential. Take advantage of nearby trees or, if there is no natural shade, opt for neutral-coloured parasols that don't break the aesthetics of the ceremony.

If the ceremony is religious, it is advisable to consult the priest about how he feels about photography. Sometimes priests find the photographer can be a distraction. Ideally, talk to him a few weeks or even months beforehand to clarify any doubts and make sure that everyone is at ease, without causing them any worries.

Think about seating arrangements too. If you can, try to position yourself in the centre of the space. Not only will this give you a nicer view, but it will also make it easier to take wide shots, ensuring that you are well positioned in the photos.

Attention to detail is key: avoid visible speakers and microphones. If the microphones don't have a stand, even better. The less "visual noise" there is in the space, the nicer the photos and video will be. Also make sure there are no foreign objects that could cause unwanted shadows on your faces.

If you need to drink during the ceremony, ask for it to be served in glass cups. Plastic bottles can ruin the aesthetics of the photos and the brand can be seen, which doesn't always look good.

Finally, you can suggest that your guests put away their phones and relax for a moment as they enter the ceremony. Trust that you will have enough images to remember the day. This will help everyone experience the moment more calmly, without distractions.

THE REPORT

In just half an hour, I guarantee that we can do a complete report and then you can enjoy the day with your guests without worries.

When is the best time for photos?
If your wedding is in the morning, the ideal thing is to take advantage of the sunset. The light at that moment is magical and makes the photos and videos have an incredible atmosphere. I recommend that, even if you are in the middle of the banquet, you take 10 minutes to go out and take advantage of that light. It is a brief moment, but the images will be spectacular.
If the wedding is in the afternoon, we can take the photos right after the ceremony, when the excitement is still high and the light is still perfect.

Where do we take the photos?
Don't worry about the location, I always have a plan! Most of the estates have beautiful corners, and the space is usually ample to take amazing photos. If not, I have a plan B ready, as my job is to always find the best places to capture the most beautiful moments.
If you have a special space in mind, don't hesitate to let me know. On the day, you make the decisions, and I will adapt to make it possible.

Additional Tips

Relaxed and calm: There's no need to stress about posing rigidly. Ideally, you should be calm, enjoy the moment and let the photos flow naturally.

You have time: We don't have to do everything at once. Sometimes, spreading out the photos throughout the day allows you to capture different emotions and atmospheres.

Don't forget the small details: Although the couple's photos are the main focus, the details of the surroundings, the bouquet, the intertwined hands or a spontaneous hug, are also a fundamental part of the story we are telling.

THE GUESTS

Photos with guests are usually one of the most anticipated moments, and we can take them before, during or after the cocktail, depending on what suits you. I recommend taking photos in small groups of 6 to 8 people. This way, it won't be too long or tiring for you. Only in the case of parents, siblings and closest people, we can take photos in larger groups.

I know this moment can feel a bit heavy, but I assure you that the effort is worth it, because those memories will be saved forever. Also, if you prefer not to spend too much time posing, a general group photo can be a good option to not waste too much time and cover all your guests.

Tips to make the process more agile and fun:

Prepare groups in advance: If you have a list of people you want to take photos with, you can prepare them in advance. This way, you will only have to rotate from one group to another without wasting time looking for guests.

Add a fun touch: The key is to make this moment entertaining too! One option that always works is to play a song and let guests know that they will only have the duration of the song to take group photos with you. The result will be great and the photos will have a unique energy!

Ask for some help: If you have friends or family who can call the groups, it will be faster and allow you to enjoy more time with your guests.

Don't worry about time: If a group is taking a little longer to get organized, that's okay. The important thing is that everyone feels comfortable and enjoys the moment. These photos will be treasured memories.

IT'S TIME TO EAT

Mealtime is key to ensuring that everything flows harmoniously, so it is important to take care of every last detail.

Make sure the tables and surroundings are spotless, as every corner contributes to the atmosphere of the day.

It's essential that anything the caterer needs to work, such as spare bottles or extra utensils, is out of sight so as not to disrupt the aesthetics of the photos. It's also critical that the area is well lit, even if the lighting in the space is more intimate or dim. Sometimes good lighting can make the difference between an amazing photo and a wasted photo.

Please note that I also need to take a lunch break. If a team menu or staff menu has not been prepared for me, I will need a break to go to lunch, which can take around an hour and a half. To avoid this, you can plan ahead and provide me with a quick meal or a space for it.

And something very important: my table must be away from the rest of the guests, but in a strategic place where I can see everything that is happening. This is crucial because, if I am placed in a suitable place, I can capture unexpected moments such as a surprise or an important speech, which are irreplaceable memories. You don't want to lose that photo of genuine emotion, do you?

Additional Tips:

Staff Location: If possible, the area designated for the crew (photographer, videographer, etc.) should be close but discreetly set back, so that we can move around easily without interrupting the celebration.

Comfortable atmosphere: It's important that the environment is comfortable for everyone, including the vendors. Making sure everything flows smoothly will make the atmosphere more relaxed and the photos more natural.

Don't forget about table decorations: Tables decorated with flowers, candles or details that reflect your style will also add a unique touch to the photos, so don't neglect them!

And THE PARTY arrived

This is the moment everyone has been waiting for. The atmosphere becomes more relaxed, the music is louder, and everyone is ready to have a blast. But in order to make the party photos spectacular, there are a few key aspects you need to keep in mind.

LIGHT, LIGHT AND MORE LIGHT

Lighting is crucial at this point. Light is what defines the atmosphere of the party and, above all, the quality of the photos. I assure you that investing a little more in good lighting will make a big difference. Adequate lighting creates a warm and elegant atmosphere, and highlights the colors, details and smiles of everyone. In addition, it makes the photographer's job much easier, since with good light you can capture those spontaneous moments that make the party unique.

If possible, use soft, warm lights. They are ideal for creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere, which always looks great in photos. If you opt for cooler or brightly colored lights, it can create an unwanted effect, which does not always highlight what you want to capture.

Avoiding lasers is CRUCIAL!
Although laser effects may look fun and attractive for the dance floor, it is very important that you do not use laser light. Lasers are problematic for mirrorless cameras as they can interfere with the sensor and ruin the photos. During photo moments, lasers need to be turned off.

More Tips for an Unforgettable Party (and full of great photos):

Lighting Arrangement: It's best to have lights that are aimed at the center of the dance floor. If you can, ask the person in charge of lighting to illuminate the dance floor without making strange shadows on the guests' faces.

Avoid overly bright lights: Although colored lights can be fun, they are not always the best for taking clear, natural photos. Lights that are too bright or of different colors can alter the tone of the photos and not give the desired effect.

The golden hour of the party: Take advantage of the moment when the party is at its peak. Spontaneous moments, laughter, hugs and movements on the dance floor create wonderful memories. So, when you see that everything is in full swing, don't hesitate to take advantage of it to get those natural and lively photos.

Tips for guests:

Energy throughout the event: Keeping the party energy high is key. The more lively the party is, the more spontaneous the moments will be and the more fun the result will be. Don't hesitate to be the first to get the guests out on the dance floor! Photos of the first dances are always the most exciting.

Organization of key moments:

If there is a special moment like a speech, a surprise, the first dance or a grand entrance, let me know in advance so I can organize and capture everything perfectly. A little planning for these moments is essential to not miss them.

Time for the cake or toast:

If you're planning to cut the cake or make a toast at some point during the party, make sure all the guests are present. These are key occasions to capture smiles, hugs, and the true joy of the day. Plus, if there's a champagne toast, the moments of glasses being raised always make for spectacular photos!
